Jesus Christ Has Provided a Total, Complete and Absolute Victory

Jesus Christ Has Provided a Total, Complete and Absolute Victory

We know that very difficult times will be coming upon the world. Most people will be completely unprepared. There are no answers to be found in the world. The only answer is the mighty power of God.

Jesus wants you to have absolute confidence in the victory he has won for you. “We will reign as kings in life through the one man Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one.” (Romans 5:17)

Please note the words “in life” in this verse of Scripture. This verse does not say that you will reign in heaven. It says that you will reign during your life on earth. “Thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph, as trophies of Christ’s victory.”  (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Please note the word “always” in this verse of Scripture. Jesus Christ has given you victory over every problem you will ever face. There is no question that you have been given a magnificent victory. The only question is how deep your faith in God is and how much faith you have in the scriptural facts pertaining to the victory that Jesus Christ has won for you.

These are not just nice sounding words. Do you know God and his Word so well that you have absolute faith in God? Every person who has received Jesus Christ as his or her Savior automatically will live in the victory of Jesus Christ in heaven. Victory on earth is not automatic. If you want to walk in the victory that Jesus won for you during your life here on earth, you must do your part.

You must learn exactly what God’s Word says about the victory you have been given. You must persevere with deep, strong and unwavering faith in God for as long as your Father requires you to persevere until this victory is manifested in your life. “Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the son of God.”  (1 John 5:4 – 5)

If Jesus is your Savior, please note the words “everyone born of God overcomes the world” in this passage. Please note the emphasis that is placed on your faith in the last portion of this passage of Scripture. You must be absolutely certain deep down in your heart that Jesus Christ has won a victory that will overcome the world.

We will face very difficult problems during the last days before Jesus returns. If you are absolutely certain that Jesus has given you a total, complete and absolute victory, you will not be afraid.  “Neither shall you be afraid of destruction when it comes. At destruction and famine you shall laugh.”  (Job 5:21,22)

Please note the word “laugh” in this passage of Scripture. Laughing is the last thing that most people feel like doing when they face potential destruction and famine. Laughing at such a severe time does not make any sense whatsoever from a worldly perspective. God’s perspective is completely different from the perspective of the world. (Isaiah 55:9)

If you know the Lord Jesus Christ intimately, you will be empowered, strengthened and filled with joy as you face difficulties. You are a member of the Army of the King of Kings and the Lord of lords.

Listed below are facts from the Holy Scriptures about the magnificent victory that Jesus Christ has won for you. Jesus won a tremendous victory over death. He also won an enormous victory in regard to every aspect of your life on earth.

He will swallow up death [and abolish it] for all time. And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and He will take away the disgrace of His people from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 25:8)

“So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory. Oh Death, where is your sting?  O Hades, where is your victory?’  The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.  (1 Corinthians 15:54 – 58)

But now [that extraordinary purpose and grace] has been fully disclosed and realized by us through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus who [through His incarnation and earthly ministry] abolished death [making it null and void] and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10)

Therefore, since [these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself in a similar manner also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of death—that is, the devil— and [that He] might free all those who through [the haunting] fear of death were held in slavery throughout their lives.  (Hebrews 2:14 – 15)

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. And He placed His right hand on me and said, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last [absolute Deity, the Son of God], and the Ever-living One [living in and beyond all time and space]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead).  (Revelation 1:17 – 18.)

Jesus rose from the dead after he died on the cross at Calvary. (Matthew 28:1 – 17) Because Jesus rose from the dead, he has given every person who receives him as Savior a total, complete and absolute victory over death and the problems we will face on earth. Just before he left the earth to ascend into heaven, Jesus said, “all authority, all power of rule, in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” (Matthew 28:18)

Please note the “all” in this verse of Scripture. Jesus Christ has absolute authority over everything in heaven and everything that takes place on earth.

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]  (John 16:33)

This verse of Scripture is filled with facts about the tremendous victory that Jesus has won for us. The first part of this verse of Scripture includes whatever problems you will face during the last days before Jesus returns. The world definitely will experience severe “tribulation and trials and distress and frustration” at that time.

Jesus did not stop there. Note the words “be of good cheer” in this verse. Jesus does not want you to be discouraged by the trials and tribulations that will pervade the earth during the final days before he returns. He wants you to be cheerful, positive and optimistic. Please note the words “take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted.”  You are instructed to “take courage” from God instead of allowing yourself to become discouraged. Jesus wants you to have complete confidence in him. He wants you to be certain that he will help you.

Why should you be so optimistic in the face of trials and tribulations? Underline the words, “I have overcome the world” in this verse of Scripture. Jesus has overcome every problem you will face throughout your life on earth. Please note where Jesus said that he has “deprived the world of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.”  You must not allow the difficult circumstances you face to pull you down. Focus continually on the reality of the victory that Jesus won for you instead of focusing on the seeming severity of the problems you face.

Spend time with God every day. Grow in your understanding of the Bible. Understand what God has done, is doing and will do. Enjoy your heavenly father.

The Supernatural Power of the Word of God
What exactly should you do to walk in this victory?

The first step to walking in victory is to know, to understand and to learn how to apply the supernatural power of the Word of God, the Bible. You should approach the holy Scriptures each day with absolute certainty that every word in the Bible comes from God.

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.”  (2 Timothy 3:16)

God has emphasized that the words in the Bible were not written through the limited understanding of the approximately 40 human authors of the Bible.

The apostle Paul said, “The gospel I preached is not something that man made. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1:11 – 12)

Victory for the believer comes in knowing and choosing God’s truth.

“Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies, nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand, in her left hand are riches and honor.”
Proverbs 3:13 – 16
