Daily Prayer of Surrender

It is important to pray a “prayer of surrender” on a daily basis. I like to make it very clear in the spiritual realm, to put all of heaven on notice, that I’m in submission and committed to my relationship with the Lord.  And that I’m standing on the Word of God, and believing the Word and making the Word the absolute final authority in every area of my life.  I want to establish this commitment in the spiritual realm in order to walk by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit and slam the door shut to any schemes, deceptions, accusations, temptations and any other strategy or firey dart from the kingdom of darkness.  THANK YOU JESUS!!

 The prayer below is just a sample.  It is important for each of us to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His leading remembering that prayer is meant to be a two-way conversation with our Father who loves to have fellowship with us 😊

Prayer is communion with God. It’s fellowship, relationship, and intimacy with Him. Prayer is conversation. It’s dialogue (two-way), not monologue (one-way). Prayer is both talking and listening. Ninety-five percent of the time I spend in prayer I’m just thanking, loving, praising, appreciating, and hanging out with the Lord—nothing special or dramatic. The vast majority of prayer is simply visiting with God!

THANK YOU JESUS!!!  THANK YOU JESUS!!!  THANK YOU JESUS!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

The King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Name above Every name!!! Jesus Christ of Nazareth!!!  My Lord and my Savior!!!!!

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to you in prayer. I come boldly to your throne room of grace. And I come to you in total praise and total thanksgiving.

Thank you so much, Father, for this beautiful, awesome, incredible day of life that you have created.  I rejoice in this day of life that you’ve created and I am glad in it! I’m excited about today and I’m excited to see what you have in store for me today!

And I thank you Father for all the incredible blessings that you have brought into my life. I am so blessed! You have blessed us exceedingly and abundantly above all that I can ask or think.  And I acknowledge Father God that every good and perfect thing comes from your hand.

 (May want to expand on this – Thank you Father for creating me!  I know that I am an individual miracle of yours!  I know that you have a great plan for my life and that you’ve blessed me with incredible talents and abilities.  Thank you for the victory, the relationships, the provision, the health……??)

And Father, I commit all my ways to you today! I do not want to live today on my power and my might. And I certainly don’t want to live today on my intellect.

I commit today to walk by faith and not by sight.   I commit to stand on the Word in Proverbs that says “I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding.  In all my ways, I acknowledge You and You direct my path.”  Thank you Father for directing my path today!

So Father God, I’m just going to do the best that I can in the physical with the talents and abilities that you’ve blessed me with.  I’m going to plant seed persistently and consistently with boldness just knowing Father that I have total and absolute victory in every area of my life through you if I don’t grow weary in doing good.

It’s my prayer that I can be a vessel that you can work through to be a blessing and to make a difference in the lives of others and to help you fulfill the Great Commission.  In everything that I say, in everything that I do and in everything that I think I pray that you will work in and through me Father.

So Holy Spirit, I thank you for living in my heart.  I proclaim that the Spirit of Truth abides in me and teaches me all things and guides me into all truths. So I pray Holy Spirit that you would guide me in everything that I do today – every thought, every word, every action, every decision – as I DO NOT want to live my life on my power and my might!

And Father God, I pray for wisdom today according to James Chapter 1 and I thank you for it.  I do not desire the wisdom of this world which is foolishness and absurdity to you. I receive your wisdom today without doubting and without wavering and I thank you for it.
