Overcoming Adversity
Just as pearls are produced through an oyster’s pain, our Father can create a “pearl” from our adversities if we surrender to him with complete trust. A life of continuous pleasure and ease is like quicksand – it will eventually pull us under. We need to face adversity in our lives. If we learn how to respond to adversity based upon God’s Word and our Father’s instructions to renew our minds, we will be able to successfully pass the tests that the trials of life will bring upon us. We will be much better equipped to handle adversity and walk in God’s authority, provision and protection if we work hard each day at studying God’s Word. “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul” (Psalm 19:7)
